What is the Opus Project?
The Opus Project is a free after-school instrumental music program for
elementary-school children in San Diego, Chula Vista, and Santee. We cultivate
joy, curiosity, and empathy through the music-making process. Sign up to join
Opus orchestra at your school.
When will my student attend the Opus Project?
Opus rehearsals are after school two days a week. Students perform at
quarterly concerts. Rehearsals begin in September. Additional information will
be shared at enrollment.
Who is eligible to register for the Opus Project?
Returning Opus students are eligible and highly encouraged to register. New
students are also welcome to register. To be eligible, new students must: be in
grades 4-6, attend rehearsals after school twice per week, and have little-to-no
experience on an instrument. Students must register for LEAD.
